The 50th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, an international hub for the latest trends in the beauty industry, which has been taking place since the 17th, is organized in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association and with the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and ITA – Italian Trade Agency, ends today, March 20, with a record 2,604 exhibiting companies (94 more than 2016) from 69 countries in the world. Among the 2017 exhibitors, 73% came from foreign countries. According to the organization, the fair grew 7% in relation to last year, there are 29 Country Pavilions involved in the exhibition, + 16% in relation to the last edition. For the first time Argentina, Chile, Japan, Latvia and the United Arab Emirates / Dubai participated in the event.
To celebrate its 50th edition, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has created the Cosmoprime, a special area dedicated to retail companies from the luxury high-end market to prestige and niche fragrances. With 151 exhibitors (81% coming from abroad) from 28 countries, Cosmoprime meets the particular requirements of retailers with special initiatives with international impact. The Extraordinary Gallery presented the latest beauty trends with the most innovative companies and brands. The exhibitors of the masstige perfumery sector were able to show their products in a special area called Premium Perfumery.
The fair has also presented the Spa Symposium, a new special project dedicated to the spa, professional beauty and natural / organic beauty in collaboration with the International Spa Association, the main professional organization of the Spa industry.
On the 50th anniversary of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the fair has celebrated by offering visitors the Perfume Factory. A fragrance was especially created by Luca Maffei, the young “nose” of AFM, in special partnership with Accademia del Profumo and all fragrance houses and produced for the occasion. Cosmoprof will be Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof will be exclusive international agent for the 24th edition of Iran Beauty & Clean held at the Teheran International Fairground from April 24 to 27, 2017 and it will sell booths to international companies interested in participating. Iran Beauty & Clean will host all beauty sectors in the Gulf and Middle East region with selected brands from around the world.
Cosmopack, the B2B event which involves the international beauty supply chain, announced the winners of The Cosmopack Wall Award contest, at its 4th edition.
Among the over 100 projects presented this year by Cosmopack exhibitors, the winners for 8 categories have been selected by Beautystreams, international trend agency, strategic partner for the initiative.
The theme of 2017 edition was “Let’s get emotional…urban poetry”: the emotion arisen by original packaging design, by the texture of a cream or by a fragrance may drive the purchase process by final customers.
The winner for the category “Formula Make Up” is Gotha Cosmetics with the project “Bi-Metallic Eyes & Face Color Veil”, lightweight and easy-to-apply cream for face and eyes.
The project of Myc Packaging Innovation, “Transforming Eye Shadow Kajal”, won for the category Packaging Make Up: an innovative packaging line for eyes and lips products. Among the most important characteristics of this product, the portable and practical packaging which guarantees a quick change of make-up on-the-go.
The project “Bottle in Bottle Marble Mascara” of Geka Gmbh won the Technology award: the first mascara with “marble-effect”, available in three colors in “urban poetry” style and a silver tap. Each product is unique: marbling looks slightly different on each packaging.
Ancorotti Cosmetics Spa won the Design award with “Extruded Powder”, characterized by extremely defined and precise drawings and reliefs never seen on powder compacts before, with a high concentration of pearls and pigments. The brightness of the colors and the precision of the decorative motifs convinced the jury to choose this product as the winner for the category.
For the category Formula Skin Care, the winner was Pink Frogs Cosmetics with “Sleeping Metallic Mask”: a facial mask rich in detox ingredients, nourishing and anti-age. The product received the award thanks to its combination of emotion and technology, for its efficiency and well-being of the skin.
Karza achieved the award for the Packaging Skin Care category thanks to “Helium”: an innovative dispenser for cosmetics, to protect the integrity of the products. The jury decided to award “Helium” because of the modernity of the packaging, ideal for modern urban on-the-go lifestyles. Furthermore, the airless technology permits more natural and sustainable formulations.
O-Pac Societa’ won the Inspirationaward with its product “24h Urban Kits in Wipes”, thanks to the anti-pollution action of micellar water. The 24-hours chrono-targeted solution makes this product a reassuring, yet time-efficient ritual throughout hectic modern days.
Chromavis won the Special Avant-Garde Award with the product “New vision eyes & lips”. Its technology combines two different textures to get different performances without any physical barriers in a single all-over product.
