Paying attention just to the date of these fairs for any possible participation in search of information and business does not bring the dimension of what they can offer. Today, to attract public these fairs are attentive to the researches and market trends, the most profitable markets for new products and, above all, to new ways of attracting audiences. Today they present much more than companies and products, introduces new interactive tools, workshops, lectures, conferences or focus on specific trends as well as technologies for the presentation of concepts and products.

Beauty Fair 2015
It is considered the largest beauty fair in Latin America. It happens between 5-8 September at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, with more than 100 conferences and workshops during the 4 day event. In the stands will be present cosmetics manufacturers of small, medium and large from Brazil and abroad, with special pavilions to other countries. The focus this year will be the male market.
The main market trends and behavior of this public will be presented in lectures for professionals working or seeking careers in service provision for this audience, and physically there will be specific areas for the male audience. Visitors will have access to the booth sponsored by Wahl with the Barber Project, with demonstrations of hair cutting and beard services in a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere.
Market data of this public, were surveyed by J. Walter Thompson, JWT, with a thousand men in the United States and England show that cosmetics are increasingly present in male life. Recent researches of the agency show that Brazil will become the world’s largest market for men’s products by 2019.
International survey data indicate preferences for male health and beauty products:
• 54% use products for skin care (moisturizers and eye creams)
• 33% shave or remove the hairs
• 39% use protective lip
• 29% do manicure
• 24% invest in facial treatments
• 13% shave the eyebrow
• 19% do tanning
• 11% use post-tanning
• 10% apply concealer

Also on September, from 15 to 17, at Porte de Versailles in Paris, France, the ITC will hold another edition of the fair, which will focus on the Beyond Beauty Fragrance, designed to perfumers and fragrance houses, raw material suppliers, glass packaging and cartridges and niche perfumery producers in France, with a Masterclass to explore the artistic perfumery and the niche perfume brands. Pas mal for those who want to research this trend. Other than that, the show presents what is always of interest : international distributors, specialized suppliers, new products, lectures, workshops and awards.
Intercharm is a complete fair held this year from 16 to 18 September in Kiev, Ukrania by the ITE Group at the International Exhibition Centre, the event always presents companies from all categories of beauty – Perfume and Cosmetics, the Aesthetic and SPA treatments, modalities in that Ukrania and cold countries that make up its surroundings are specialized. But the fair also display products and Solarium Tanning Cosmetics, Laboratories, Packaging Raw and materials, among others, in an area of 14,270 square meters.
MakeUp in NewYork 2015
Organized by Beautem from 9 to 10 September, the organizer of the American meeting will focus this year in Italy and the contributions that the country offered to the makeup, highlighting the fact that the United States was the number one destination of Italian cosmetics after France, Germany and the UK, with a growth rate of 16%, or € 249 million in value.
The show will reflect the Italian industry in general, where the sector is dedicated to the production of makeup formulations or complete beauty services, developed largely by family businesses. Many of them located in Crema, region about 40 miles south of Milan. They will be addressed in informal chats with industry experts, the new fashion trends, the importance of color, which changed the way people buy and also brought changes in products distribution.
Sustainable Cosmetics Summit
Between 28 and 30 September the Organic Monitor performs the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit, at Pullman São Paulo Ibirapuera, in Sao Paulo. The international series of the Summit takes the sustainability issues in the cosmetics industry and personal care for the main geographical regions of the world, in a mission to the adoption of green standards in the cosmetic industry. Each event brings together key stakeholders in the beauty industry: cosmetic manufacturers, raw material suppliers, retailers, distributors, industry organizations, certification agencies, researchers and academics, besides investors, in a program of the conference, followed by workshop. Among the topics are: Green Formulations, The Evolution of Marketing, Food Ingredients in Cosmetics. The event will also be held in Paris (20-21 October), and Bangkock (2-4 November).
in-cosmetics Brasil 2015
Held for the first time in the country last year, the event was so well received that this year sought a larger space. This year’s event will be held from 30 September to 1 October in the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo. In this edition there will be exhibitors from over 20 countries exhibiting more than 1,000 products developed for the production of cosmetics for skincare, haircare, nails and color cosmetics. Held by Reed Exhibitions, in-cosmetics Brazil is the only trade show in Latin America focused exclusively on raw materials for toiletries, enabling the meeting of local formulators and R & D professionals with national and international suppliers. The entire chain of cosmetics sector attended the 2014 edition, including product managers, suppliers, entrepreneurs and business decision makers. Companies like Focus Chemistry, Sarfam, Bandeirante and Cosmotec, actuating in Brazil participate bringing their latest developments and concepts for years to come.
Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference
From 7 to 9 October, Beauty Africa realized by Informa Middle East will be taking place in the Beauty Africa Ekos Convention Centre, in Lagos, Nigeria. It is the continent’s largest event dedicated to beauty, medical aesthetics and wellness. It presents the latest developments in beauty all over Africa and offers an interesting and strategic platform to establish successful partnerships in Nigeria and other African countries. It will present skin treatments like mesotherapy, electrical body shapers, filling combinations with botox, among other modalities.
The city of Fulda in Germany receive from 14 to 16 October, the most renowned scientists and representatives of the most important multinational suppliers of active detergents, cosmetics and perfumery at the Esperanto Hotel, for a real celebration. With more than 2,100 participants from over 40 countries last year, Congress Sepawa is a prominent meeting place for these sectors of the industry. The strong point is its “Innovation Forum” because it presents an intense and varied selection of lectures on scientific research, current trends and relevant innovations.

MakeUp In São Paulo
Assuming that 32% of Brazilian women use make-up regularly (source Mintel), the MakeUp In Brazil 2015 to be held on 8 and 9 December is already a success. According to Euromonitor, the segment of lip products jumped from US$ 300 to US$ 830 million between 2000 and 2014, 73% of Brazilian women use lipstick or gloss. The category of nail care experienced the greatest growth: from US $ 117 to US $ 974 million during the same period. 71% of women in Brazil have used glazes over the past six months. 571 million units were produced in 2014. The segment of products for the face (base, primer, and blush) accounted for US $ 817 million in 2014, with 150 releases a year. 34% of Brazilian women are looking for products that moisturize the skin and 38%, for products that are easy to apply. Mascaras lead the eye segment with 38%, or US$ 832 million, ahead of pencil / delineators, with 29%, and 22% eyeshadows.
