It is the fourth edition of in-cosmetics Latin America to be held in São Paulo, at the Expo Center Norte in the next days 20 and 21. Business platform in South America, the fair is dedicated exclusively to raw materials for the Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics and offers the professional public a panel of the latest launches in raw materials, access to trends and testing services.

This year will be around 200 international exhibitors from the areas of: raw materials, inputs, fragrances, laboratory equipment and test and regulatory solutions. Reed Exhibitions, the exhibitor expects that this edition to receive more than 4500 professional visitors from cosmetic industries from all over Latin America, in networking with the ingredients community.

More and more interactive, the event offers opportunities to experiment and test new products and even create formulations in a laboratory built for the fair, as well as participate in various educational lectures and free.

In-cosmetics Latin America will bring the Gold Business Guest program, with  professionals from the cosmetics industry of Latin America to participate in the event with expenses paid. They were chosen to attend pre-scheduled meetings with exhibitors.

The premiere of the program will include directors, technical managers, purchasing managers and chemists from countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, responsible for the purchase of raw materials from companies such as Belcorp, Beleza Express, L’Oreal, Biotecnik, Oxapharma, among others.

Two spas are also scheduled to run during the fair to test the effectiveness of raw materials, amid a multitude of new inputs on display.

Mintel, the market intelligence agency, will make daily presentations in the Innovation Zone with products imported exclusively for the event so visitors can sense and evaluate key trends for the industry. These include Total Protection raw materials – UV / IV / HEV protective products and general well being products for the skin and hair.

There will be two categories in the Innovation Zone: actives and functional. The active ingredients are those that have cosmetic or other active ingredients in the skin or hair, while functional ingredients include preservatives, emulsifiers, lipids and polymers. Ashland sponsors the space, which will feature exhibitors Ajinomoto, Angus, Beraca, Chemyunion, Citroleo, Dow, Elementis, Givaudan, Kobo, Koster Koenen, Lipoid, Lonza, Lubrizol, Sharon Labs, Silab, Solabia, Symrise and Vantage.

The focus of the Protection Zone will be on the materials with protection benefits: anti-pollution, sun protection and the Swiss DSM will bring a system for real-time evaluation of the effect of UV rays and demonstrate the effectiveness of your product Pepha®-Age, active uses the full potential of freshwater algae to stimulate skin self-defense against the negative impact of sunlight. A booth with a special camera will show how the product acts on the skin in real time.


Among the innovations that Cosmotec will present in in-cosmetics are ingredients, technologies and effects of the Cosmotec trend package 30 years: Celebrating the Future. For hair brings Tropical Bar Conditioner – Nutrition and brightness to the threads, a conditioner with a solid structure that emulsifies and melts on contact with warm water and friction. For makeup, it has developed Special Effects Shadow Compact, a line of eye shadows inspired by special effects, developed based on the latest fashion shows and trends. The combination of pearls and pigments promotes brightness with color travel effect. In skin care the company will take to the fair its facial exfoliant powder, for the cleaning and renewal of the skin, of soft and silky sensorial that, in contact with the water, turns into a light and creamy foam that promotes the effective skin cleansing.

Croda has prepared an interactive environment to welcome its visitors and customers with their launches for the categories of Skin Care, Hair Care, Sun Care, Cleansing and Make Up. Textures and formulations aligned with the upcoming tendencies in personal care in Latin America. There will be a space dedicated to its emollients and emulsifiers. And in addition to custom stations, Croda will present its latest asset launch under the brand Sederma, the new  Matrixyl Morphomics, a peptide that acts against the signs of aging, providing visible reduction of vertical lines after 6 weeks of use. The company will have a café dedicated to promoting the Crodarom line, botanical extracts for skin care and hair, Crodarom Les Délices.

Givaudan will showcase two new functional actives: Revivyl and ResistHyal. The first of activation and protection of stem cells for cell differentiation and the surface renewal by enzymatic elimination of dead cells. The second is an active that restructures the hair keratin to moisturize, increase volume, gloss, softness and decrease frizz.

Solabia launches Detox-Look, active anti-pollution that restores the healthy appearance of hair damaged by environmental exposure, through antioxidant and detoxifying benefits.

Lubrizol brings its Avalure Flex-6, a multifunctional material that emulsifies, improves pigment dispersion, provides film-forming and co-thickening properties for colored cosmetics and sun care.

Beraca will present the conditioning agent Capillus Pro 22, the result of the work developed in partnership with Clariant. It is a secondary surfactant capable of promoting a reduction of up to 28.1% in the volume of wicks after treatment, of 21% in the damages contained in the capillary fiber, in addition to increasing the yarn brightness by 111.5%. Aimed at formulations of conditioners, treatment creams, hair masks, among other products. The company emphasizes the capacity of application in different formulations, coming from the clean productive chain and 100% traceable. “The amine starch, to an ingredient of natural origin, the prakaxi oil”, emphasizes Daniel Sabará, CEO of Beraca. “Our proposal is to show that by subjecting ingredients coming from Brazilian biodiversity to a process of transformation, we have been able to offer even more innovative solutions for the cosmetics and personal care sectors,” Sabará points out.

OAT Cosmetics and Cobiosa develop the raw materials from the natural extraction of actives that Galena sells exclusively in Brazil for the cosmetic industry. Cobiosa in Brazil extracts natural active principles from the Peruvian Amazon and marine assets. The company extracts, isolates and purifies on a large scale a wide variety of proteins, amino acids, polypeptides, glycolipids for hydration, nutrition, conditioning and protection of skin and hair. And OAT Cosmetics that offers natural and renewable actives produced from green technology, especially oats, with potent content of active ingredients, including avenithramides, proteins and betaglucans.
