Aurélien Guichard is the new fragrance perfumer for Takasago. Recognized worldwide for the creation of important perfumes, the professional is based on the Paris unit and will have a global presence with other perfumers of the company around the world.
Born in Grasse, a city in the south of France with a tradition in the cultivation of plants for perfumery, Guichard represents the seventh generation of a line of perfumers. He creates and cultivates various aromatic plants and, for him, this connection with the earth, with the raw material and with who grows it, is essential. Aurélien sees perfumery as an open-hearted art: “Creation can not advance without a generous approach, fueled by dialogue and a degree of freedom.” He also highlights the lessons he learned in pursuit of olfactory excellence: “To have a clear olfactory goal, to bring excitement to life, to create perfumes that people want to use and share, and simply to be happy.”
