José Vicente Marino is the new president of Avon Brazil. He replaces the Colombian David Legher, who had been in office for just over six years. Legher’s exit had already been announced by Avon global president Jan Zijderveld during a teleconference with analysts last week to comment on the company’s second-quarter results.

Former director of Natura, Marino has experience in direct sales and in the consumer market. He has also actuated at Flora Cosmetics and Cleaning and Johnson & Johnson.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a degree from the Harvard Business School in the Owners and President Management program.
José Vicente was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alpargatas and member of the Board of the Akatu Institute.
