Since April 1st, sales of sunscreens, belonging to BASF‘s Personal Care portfolio, are made exclusively by the company throughout Brazil, directly, with the exception of the States of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul , which continue to be served by the current distributor, Embacaps, exclusive distributor of BASF’s complete portfolio of Personal Care ingredients, adding this year the Sun Care category to the States of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

In addition to having a BASF commercial team, customers of sunscreens that are directly serviced, will have technical support from Embacaps throughout Brazil.
“We know the importance of the sun protection segment for the Brazilian personal care market, and we closely monitor the challenges that the segment has been facing. Therefore, we want to be closer to customers, working together to develop solutions that meet consumer needs, which are in line with industry regulations, ”says Renata Oki, Director of BASF’s Personal Care Division in South America.

“Having a team looking exclusively at the sun protection market, added to the technical partnership with Embacaps, reinforces our commitment to meet the different customer profiles in an increasingly assertive and agile manner”, completes the director.

BASF will also support customers with more sustainable solutions; in monitoring and unfolding regulations and trends from around the world for the national market; and will contribute with information and technical content to help raise awareness of the importance of sun protection on day by day – promoting solutions for 360º Sun Protection.
