BASF was once again included in the Dow Jones Global Sustainability Index (DJSI World). This year the company was recognized mainly for its innovation management, environmental and social reports and also for its materiality assessment.

With this inclusion, BASF is listed on DJSI World for 17 consecutive years. The selected companies must demonstrate continued improvements in sustainability, being evaluated by RobecoSAM’s asset management analysts.

“We are very pleased with the result. We are continually working to improve our performance in terms of sustainability,” said Dirk Voeste, Sustainability Strategy Vice President, BASF.

BASF was also listed again in the FTSE4Good index. These indices list only those companies that meet strict social, environmental, and corporate governance (ESG) criteria that are able to prove them through regularly conducted assessments.

Through science and innovation, BASF supports its customers in almost all industries by attending current and future needs of society. The company’s products and solutions contribute to the conservation of resources, ensuring good nutrition and improving the quality of life.

In Brazil, the company celebrates 25 years of Responsible Actuation, a program coordinated by the Brazilian Association of Chemical Industries (ABIQUIM). BASF, joined early in 1992, and uses the program as a basis for its Health, Safety and Environment Management System, which aims at continuous improvement and excellence in its operations.
