, manufacturer of specialty chemicals, has launched ColorForward, a guide to forecasting trends and colors for 2014, for the plastics industry through the tool ColorWorks – Clariant
ColorForward uses language of colors to express the color trends that will attract people’s attention and set the tone palette that consumers will prefer in the coming years.

The forecasts ColorForward colors are based on research on social trends worldwide. The work involved hundreds of industry professionals plastic (specialists in color, design, marketing and polymers) and trend analysis specialists from around the world,  not only to identify social trends overall, but also for developing harmonious colors that reflect the influence of each  trend.

Many trends are considered, but only those with the potential to make a truly global impact were selected: Keep It Real, Re | use | full, There to Share and Let’s Play the Ball – all have variations of blue (light and dark vibrant), green (clear, vibrant, pistachio), orange (bright and orange old), hot pink and purple (vibrant purple and lilac). These four trends have been chosen by Clariant experts from the numerous other global inspirations, as have showed to influence the color palette of 2014.
