Four years after the launch of the Franco-Brazilian brand L’Occitane au Brésil, L’Occitane do Brasil announced yesterday investment (undisclosed) in the project of a factory in Brazil, one of the five countries with the highest growth and representativeness of the L’Occitane Group.

The idea is to expand the Group’s participation in the Brazilian cosmetics market, adding development to the country.

The factory will be installed in the city of Itupeva, Sao Paulo, near the Distribution Center of L’Occitane Group in Brazil, and will occupy an area of 23 thousand square meters. The unit will produce L’Occitane au Brésil brand lines, but partnerships with third-party companies will be maintained for the production of some categories.

The venture is being carried out under the strategic guidance of Investe São Paulo, an investment and export promotion agency linked to the São Paulo State Secretariat for Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation, which also assists the company in matters of infrastructure and Environmental licensing.

The starting of construction is scheduled to the first half of September, with start-up in 2019.
