Natura Ekos Frescores, the line of women’s fragrances Natura, now has the option of refill packaging produced in PET100% recycled . This is the first major brand of Brazilian perfumery to develop and launch refills which emit 72% less carbon in its production. They are made from discarded material, recovered and recycled and provide more saving to consumers, since they are 20% cheaper than regular and practical packaging and easy to handle.
“The commitment to sustainable development is part of the essence of Natura and is present in all the company’s shares. Pioneered the launch of refills for recharging bottles in the 80s, we were the first cosmetics company in Brazil to offer this innovation. Besides economic, the use of refills reduces the environmental impact and helps to minimize emissions of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, “says Denise Coutinho, director of business unit Natura perfumery.
The ambition of the company is to use at least 75% recyclable material in the total mass of packaging (56% in 2013), to use, at least 10% post-consumer recycled material in the total mass of packaging (1.43 % in 2013) and have 40% of units sold of Natura in packaging eco-efficient (21.5% in 2013).
